In order to give the freshmen a memorable experience, Student Union of Institute for Tourism Studies held a two-days and one-night O-Camp successfully at the Coloane Eagle Training. From 5th September to 6th September 2015, Almost sixty students participated and supported this camp. There are many games that was designed and organized by our members, such as ice-breaking, team working games. Freshmen learned more about the structure and activities of Student Union, established the sincere friendship and cultivated good relations. Student Union of Institute for Tourism Studies will, as always, organize a few welcoming programs every August and September, please follow the our official website and Facebook fan page closely.

The 2015 Green Fashion Show
The 2015 Green Fashion Show was held on 25th April at the Grand Hall in Institute of Tourism Studies, this competition was organized by Student Union of IFT and the theme was “Ocean · Fate”.

The 3rd International Night
The 3rd “International Night” was successfully held by the IFT Student Union, this activity rendered assistance for freshmen and exchange students to cope with the brand new campus life and learning environment of IFT through joining IFT at the beginning of the new semester.
The Student Union of IFT is going to organize a variety of upcoming orientation activities for all freshmen and exchange students, such as O-Camp, O-Night, International Challenge Day and City Tour as well, where the word “O” stands for Orientation.
The latest program held on 7th March called “I-Night” stands for International Night, which intended to break the linguistic and cultural barrier between the local and exchange students. I-Night was an interesting soiree gala ball, provided students a precious opportunity and platform to gain the unique experience in social occasion in enhancing the interpersonal techniques and communication skills of students which was beneficial to students before devoting into career.

21st Sub Organizations of Institute for Tourism Studies
Distinguished guests the President of Institute for Tourism Studies Dr. Fanny Vong, Director of Macau Foundation Ms. Ho Kuai Leng, Functional Head (Assistance to Higher Education students) of Tertiary Education Service Office Ms. Vong Iut Peng, Director of Department of Youth of DSEJ Mr. Chan Iok Wai, the President of General Association of Chinese Students of Macao, Mr. Ivan Leong, Vice President of Macao New Chinese Youth Association Ms. Tam Sio Wa, and representatives from local associations and student unions of local higher education institutes to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of 21st Student Union and sub organizations of Institute for Tourism Studies.
During the inauguration ceremony, President of the 20th Student Union Ms. Anita Tai gave her sincere appreciation to all the committee members who gave a lot of support in the previous year. After that, with witness of the guests, lecturers and students, the committee members of the 21st Student Union and the sub organizations gave their pledge to serve the students and the Institute. President of the 21st Student Union, Mr. Joe Iuindicated his sincere appreciation to the 20th Student Union committee members and promised to build an even brighter future for IFT students.
Dr. Fanny Vong expressed that Student Union is the bridge between students and IFT. IFT encourage Student Union to hold more diversified events in order to help student to gain more experience besides the courses and it is useful for the future of all students.
Student Union of IFT has been striving for more benefits and to hold various meaningful activities for IFT students, enriching IFT students’ campus lives by offering life-enriching activities and strengthening communication between students and the Institute. There are eight sub organizations in IFT including Drama Club, Heritage Club, Mainland Student Union, Music Society, Sports Club, Wine Appreciation Club, Culinary Club and IFT Volunteer Circle.
